Conquer Summer: Fitness Tips to Keep You on Track

July is already here and I want to help you start the month strong.

Whether you’re traveling, entertaining, or just enjoying the summer weather, here’s a simple fitness gameplan that will keep you on track without sacrificing fun:

1. Map out your month
Look at your calendar now and identify potential challenge days (holidays, vacations, etc.). Having awareness in advance helps you plan rather than react.

2. Commit to the “Power 3”
Schedule at least 3 workouts per week, and treat them like important appointments. Put them in your calendar right now, even if it’s just 30 minutes at a time.

3. Stay hydrated
July heat means increased risk of dehydration. Aim for half your body weight (in pounds) in ounces of water daily. A simple hack: Add fresh fruit to your water to make it more appealing.

4. Protein-first approach
Before indulging in summer BBQs and cocktails, fill up on protein first. This simple strategy helps control hunger and prevents overeating without making you feel deprived.

5. Movement snacks
Can’t fit in a full workout? Break it up into 5-10 minute “movement snacks” throughout the day. Quick sets of squats, push-ups, or a brief walk can add up significantly.

Remember, perfection isn’t the goal – consistency is.

If you stick to this simple plan 80% of the time, you’ll be ahead of the game.
Which of these strategies resonates most with you?

Reply and let me know – I’d love to offer some personalized tips based on your situation.

Here’s to a fit and fun July!
